Students are reminded that they must abide by the IT Acceptable Use Policy which prohibits copying, downloading, storing or transmitting material which infringes copyright, including music files, movies, videos, and pirated software.
The copyright of movies, music and software is infringed when these materials are copied and shared online without the copyright owners permission. Using these infringing copies denies the creators an income and is illegal under Australian law. You can access many of these materials from legitimate sources including libraries, free tv catch-up services, subscription streaming services and online stores.
