Council is the governing body of the University and is responsible for overseeing the management and development of the University, devising or approving strategic plans and major policies, and monitoring and reviewing the operation of the University.
At the close of nominations for the election of one undergraduate student member and one postgraduate student member of the University Council there were more nominations that positions available.
Ballots are being held for the two positions. To vote in the election go to the election web page at: http://www.flinders.edu.au/elections. The election page contains an electronic ballot form and the personal statements, where provided by the candidates.

The ballot for an undergraduate student member of Council will close at 12:00 noon Friday 26 September 2014. The ballot for a postgraduate student member of Council will close at 12:00 noon on Friday 3 October 2014.
