Indigenous Officer Vacancy & nominations for FUSA Election 2015 - close 3pm Monday

Due to a vacancy in the position of Indigenous Students Officer on Student Council of the Flinders University Student Association, students whom identify as Indigenous/Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander can apply for the position, which will hold office from October 8 until December 31 2014. Given that the vacancy has occurred within two months of the annual FUSA elections, a by-election is not necessary.
 
Applications are invited and are due at 3:00pm Friday the 3rd of October.

Student Council is the governing body of the Flinders University Student Association (FUSA). This is your opportunity to have direct input into enhancing the student experience through helping to shape an Association that is representative and impacts all students in a positive way.

EMPIRE TIMES EDITORIAL TEAM* (a team of three students)

Do you want to be in charge of a magazine? Do you consider yourself a jack of all trades? It is not obligatory that you have experience in publishing and design programs as you will be trained. You just need to be willing to learn about print, web, social media and graphic design.

A team of three editors make up the Empire Times Editorial Team. The team is responsible for the creation and publication of 10 editions of the student magazine (Empire Times) over the course of the academic year.

If you don’t have a team – don’t sweat. We can help you link up with others who are in the same boat.

NATIONAL UNION OF STUDENTS CONFERENCE DELEGATES (six positions)

The National Union of Students (NUS) is the peak representative body for undergraduate students in Australia. NUS works to protect the rights of students across Australia, organises national campaigns on issues affecting students in a range of different areas, and ensures that the student voice is heard by government, the media, and the public.

*Positions in both Student Council and the Empire Times Editorial Team receive honorariums. For more information regarding honorariums and the roles please visit the elections page.

The nomination forms have information on eligibility, the nomination process, and the conduct of the electronic ballot.
