As previously notified on 23 April 2013, due to the essential upgrade of the power supply for the campus street lighting, traffic control measures are in place until Friday, 17 May 2013 for Stage 1 of the project.

Please be advised that measures will continue to be put in place for Stage 2 of the upgrade during week days from Monday 20 May to Friday 7 June 2013

The affected area will be between Sports Road (the road to the Flinders Medical Centre) and Ring Road and between Ring Road and Flinders Drive.

•         In the morning inbound traffic along University Drive will be reduced to 25km/hr alongside the work zone only while works are being undertaken; however, outbound traffic will be restricted to one lane between 07:00-12:00.

•         In the afternoon outbound traffic will be reduced to 25km/hr alongside the work zone only while works are being undertaken; however, inbound traffic will be restricted to one lane between12:00-16.30.

The affected area will be suitably signed and traffic managed to ensure the safe movement of traffic flow.

Access for buses will be unaffected. However, reduced traffic lanes and speed restrictions may cause minor delays to their schedules.

No areas will be inaccessible to emergency services and current street lighting levels will be maintained for the duration of the works.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this essential upgrade. If you have any concerns or queries please contact Mr Shahied Davids, Associate Director, Project Delivery, Buildings and Property by telephoning 8201 5403 or emailing shahied.davids@flinders.edu.au.
