Writing A Critical Summary

This document provides information about writing a critical summary. You will need to do some interpretation of the document as it is providing advice on preparing a critical summary after reading and article or paper, while your task is to write a critical review of your presentation (contained in the PowerPoint and what you will present to the class). You will note the emphasis placed on reading academic literature. You will have gone through a process of identifying (or rejecting) relevant literature as you prepare your presentation, however you will also be recognizing shortcomings in the literature that you have been able to use for your presentation (including relevance to your setting and problem, suggested solutions, whether the articles are recent, etc.). Note too that there is a suggested structure for the paper which is may be quite helpful if you have been puzzled about this.
