When you next log into your Student Email account, you may be prompted to enter a phone number or alternative email address. This is an additional security requirement implemented globally by Microsoft. The change affects all Microsoft Live ID’s including Live, Hotmail and Flinders University’s Live@EDU service.
We recommend you provide an alternative email address. You can enter yourfan@flinders.edu.au (eg blog1234@flinders.edu.au) as a valid address. As long as you provide an alternative email address, you do not need to provide a phone number.
