Intermittent network issues on campus

Intermittent network issues on campus

A number of students have experienced intermittent problems with network access on campus over the last week. These issues are limited to the wired network (eg library computers) and wireless access is working normally.

The issue is being treated extremely seriously by the University’s IT Services and the network provider and we apologise for any inconvenience these service disruptions have caused.

A joint technical team is working in shifts around the clock to resolve remaining issues. A temporary fix has been put in place that should keep library PCs working. In addition, IT staff will be in attendance at the Central Library over the weekend. If you experience any network access issues on campus please contact the library Information Desk.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
