Some topics, particularly nursing topics, require you to submit assignments in video format. Due to the size of these files you may need to compress them to a smaller size and/or change their format before submitting. Use the instructions below to compress and/or convert video files.
Note that video assignments are not text so they will not produce a text-matching software (Turnitin) originality score or report when you submit them. You can still submit them in the usual way but you may get a message saying your file cannot be text matched. Your topic co-ordinator will be aware of this and will not be expecting a text-matching report.
You can now upload video content to FLO in one of two different ways. One is to upload your video file as a file upload, the other is to use MyMedia to embed your video content.
To upload a video file, just follow our regular Assignment Submission instructions. There are a couple of things to watch out for when submitting a video file, so use our checklistto ensure you submit your video assignments successfully in FLO. Is your video very large or the wrong file type for submission? Use these compression/conversion instructions for Mac and PC
My Media is your private audio and video repository in FLO where you can upload, store and view your media. Your media can only be viewed by you until you publish or embed it in a FLO topic site. Once you have uploaded your media to My Media you can embed it anywhere on a FLO topic site where the text editor box is available, such as an assignment or discussion forum.
Please see the below instructions to upload then embed a video file in FLO via My Media
